Hello!

I am a comics collector. I collect crossover stories-for example: Batman-Predator, Superman-Spider-Man, Aliens vs. Predator etc.
I don't know: exist a Phantom crossover story, too?
Phantom in a common story with ... Spider-Man-or anybody else?

Thanks!

Only one I am aware of is a cross-over with Mandrake The Magician, in the final Mandrake Sunday strip, "Shadows on Devil Road" which was published in Frew Phantom 1340.

But as for the popular big name superheroes, the Phantom has not appeared with any to the best of my knowledge. He is not as popular as those, and is an adventure newspaper strip character more than a comic book character. I would take a guess that the vast majority of regular comic book audiences would not be interested in such a cross-over, nor would most Phantom fans.

The entire "Defenders of the Earth" concept was a cross-over between the Phantom, Mandrake the Magician and Flash Gordon. It comprised an animated TV show with over 60 episodes, a 4-issue comic book and some other stuff.

Mandrake and the Phantom have met several times, not only in "Shadows on Devil Road". Besides appearances in each other's newspaper strips, they recently appeared together in two comic book stories published by Moonstone Books.

Moonstone will also be teaming the Phantom with Green Hornet and Domino Lady in two upcoming prose stories.

I think the real reason why there aren't any cross overs is that KFS owns the Phantom and it would be silly for the Phantom to battle one ofFlash Gordon villans when Flash lives in the future and ours in the present or even Blondie helping the Phantom fight the Singh brother hood. Where as DC and Marvel will have cross overs as most of their heroes live in a make belive world where things can b changed easier.

Personally, I would love cross-over stories, since Phantom has been published both by DC and by Marvel. With a little tweaking, it may not be so difficult to bring the Phantom together with Spiderman or Batman 8)

i was thinking about the whole Phantom crossover thing last night. KFS doesn't really have a universe like marvel or dc. But it would be good to see the Phantom do more team ups with Flash Gordon and Mandrake.

The only other way I can see the Phantom doing a crossover is if he does more of the "cyberspace" or timetravel type stuff and meets other superheroes.

Maybe the new US publisher can investigate this more when they bring the Phantom to the city

I received a free copy of Captain Action #0 with an order from Moonstone, and I found the character to be silly, terrible, lame and boring. Perhaps it has more punch if you grew up in the '60s with the action figure. As much as I enjoy some of Moonstone's Phantom output, I'm afraid I won't be picking these up, unless they get crazy rave reviews.

I predict Captain Action turns into the Phantom to get some action with Diana.

I don't like the Captian Action stories either and would never purchase one but the miniseries is being written by Mike Bullock who is responsible for writing the stories the majority of Moonstones Phantom output and has been doing an excellent job so i have faith that it will be a good story and will defiantly be picking up a copy.
