Alright, my time, seeing my thread seemed to have started everything here.
To be honest, having a board full of people who agree with you is boring, yes balance needs to be introduced to this phorum BUT I do not want that balance to rid the individuality of this phorum.
There is a difference between agreeing and insulting. Wraith despises the new Sy-Fy Phantom series, other people like it. Has Wraith insulted anybody who has come out and liked it, no, he has stuck to his point that it is rubbish and argued it. Has anybody personally abused Wraith that this view is wrong, nope, they have just put there points forward why the like it. (Sorry to use you as an example Wraith, but you are the most obvious poster that comes to my mind at the moment). There are enough people on this forum that there will be opposing views to nearly everything, so that there will always be a discussion.
The issue here is not disagreement but insults, as I have posted previously, I am quite happy for Ivan (again, I do not want to single anyone out, but there does seem to be a common link here) or anybody to argue that Moonstone, Hermes, Frew, Egmont, etc. are crap but when it deteriorates to personal insults it has gone to far. Calling somebody a dog or an idiot or a troll, etc. for disagreeing with you, even if there argument is week is not the way to go.
If a posters argument is week, point out why it is week and why your view is better. There are many times I have been in arguments with friends who have brought up points where all I can do is stand there and say is, "ok, you have got me, I have nothing, you win". Do I ever abuse them for besting me, no, I respect them for providing an argument that I can not beat.
This is what we should be aiming for here and on all forums.
Ok my 2 cents is done, all I am going to add is Germ, please keep up the hard work you are trying to do (I do not envy your job) and as long as you are consistent with everyone with the new rules, and everyone knows this, I am sure we can all move forward.
